[Class 16] A weather protector for a writing surface comprises a base board 3 with a block 4 at one end to which is hinged a window panel 7 in a frame 6 connected to the base by wedge panels 8 having a plurality of pleats 9 adapted to fold on to the base. Waterproof strips 14 - - 16 are secured by adhesive to protect the joints. The sides are made of waterproof material and are held extended by toggle struts 10 so that the hand can be inserted for writing. The base 3 carries a clip for holding a writing block 13.
