[Class 20 (iii)] A cashier's germ-proof partition comprises a flexible transparent diaphragm stretched on a frame and located between two foraminous sheets of rigid transparent material spaced therefrom so as to allow the diaphragm to vibrate. As shown a frame 6, bolted, riveted &c. to a ring 7 secured to a glass pane 8, holds the two foraminous sheets 3, 4 spaced from the flexible diaphragm 1 on its frame 2 ; the frame 6 may be integral with the frame 2, and the device may be elongated vertically, e.g. elliptical, to accommodate persons of different height.
