Improvements in devices for use in forecasting the result of football matches

[Class 106 (i)] An indicator device for use in forecasting the probable result of football matches comprises three concentrically mounted discs A, B and C, Figs. 1, 2, 3 and 4. Inscribed on the disc A, Fig. 2, is a numerical scale A1, inscribed on the disc C, Fig. 4, are two numerical scales C1 and C2 and inscribed on opposite sides of the disc B, Figs. 1 and 3, are two numerical scales B1, B2 and three numerical scales B3, B4, B5, and a scale B6 of symbols 1, 2, X. In use to forecast the result of a particular matchhome team versus away team-the following procedure is adopted. The discs A and C are adjusted relatively to the disc B so that the number on the scale A1 representing the goals scored for the home team at home over a number of previously played matches is aligned with the number on the scale 31 representing the number of goals scored against the home team at home in the previously played matches. The number on the scale B2, which is thereby brought into alignment with an aperture F1 on the disc A is noted. A similar procedure is adopted in respect of the away team using scales C1 and B3 and noting the number on the scale B4 which is thereby brought into alignment with the aperture F2 in the disc C. The two noted numbers are then aligned on scales C2 and B5 by relative rotation of the discs C and B, whereby the probable result is indicated on the scale B6 at an aperture F3 in the disc C.
