Class 20(i) [Also in Group XIII] A building for storing and drying grain comprises a series of storage bins arranged round a vertical centreaxis the bins being constructed to allow for air conditioning and a rotatable vertical conveyer being located at the central axis. In one embodiment, Figs. 1. 3, six storage bins 2 are produced by an outside wall 3 and partitions 4, the base 5 of the bars being air-penetrable, and the centre of the assembly containing inter alia a tipping shoot 16 from the loading pocket 14, and a rotatable pneumatic conveyer tube 18, so that grain brought in at 14 can be discharged into any storage bin 2. A fan 20 driven by a motor 21 sends preheated air through air distribution channels located centrally under each bin. Grain is removed from the plant via a discharge pocket 25 filled from the conveyer 18. Minor modifications are shown in other embodiments, involving variations in the shape of the bins, and layout of apparatus.
