Improvements in woolgrease and woolgrease fatty acids, fatty alcohols and soaps

Wool grease, fatty acids and alcohols are bleached by treatment with hydrogen peroxide of at least 80 per cent. strength, and preferably of 90 per cent. strength. Generally, about 5 per cent. by weight of hydrogen peroxide, based on the substance to be bleached, is used. Examples are given.ALSO:Woolgrease and its derivatives (i.e. neutral woolgrease, woolgrease fatty acids, fatty alcohols or soaps and woolgrease soaps/neutral woolgrease mixtures) are bleached by treatment with hydrogen peroxide of at least 80 per cent. strength, and preferably of 90 per cent. strength. Generally about 5 per cent. by weight of hydrogen peroxide, based on the substance to be bleached, is used. Examples are given.
