753,046. Automatic regulation. WESTING- HOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. March 25, 1954 [March 26, 1953], No. 8707/54. Class 38 (4). A constant D.C. potential (for use as a reference in a control system) is obtained across a PN junction diode 22 by supplying the diode via a rectifier 20 from an A.C. source in series with a saturable reactor 18. The control winding of the reactor is connected across the diode so that the inherent substantially constant voltage characteristic of the diode is improved by control of the reactor. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifccation 697,880.
