A quick-threading attachment in or for a needle comprises a double length of resilient filamentary material formed at one end for anchorage to the needle, twisted together at the other end, and having an intermediate loop adjoining the twisted end. As shown, a single length of thin, resilient wire is passed through the eye 2 of a needle 1 and is doubled about its mid-point to form a small anchorage loop 4, the strands of the wire then being twisted together as at 5. An elongated loop 6 is then left and the strands are finally twisted together as at 7. Thread 8 is passed through loop 6 and when pulled outwardly is clamped within the twists 7. The needle may have a reduced portion adjacent the eye to allow the loop 4 to lie flush with the needle shank. In a modification the anchorage end of the attachment is formed as a pair of hook-shaped strands adapted releasably to encase the eye of a needle.
