Classes 97(1) and 98(1) Cut films are fed along a guide into the curved exposure gate of a mirror camera at the rate of 10 or more frames per second by means of power driven rollers, and are removed therefrom, after exposure, along a guide by means of further power driven rollers. Preferably the film is fed intermittently from a supply roll to a cutter device which is synchronized with the film feed to cut off a frame length at a time. As shown, the motor 10 drives the gear 24 which carries a disc 25 and pin 26 which co-operate with a Maltese cross 27. The latter is connected to the rollers 31, 32 which draw the film intermittently from the roll 34 and pass one frame at a time past the cutter 42, 43. The cutter 42 is moved towards the film when the latter is stationary by a lever 97 operated from the motor 10 by cam members 22, 45. The cutter blade, which is concave in plan so that it cuts the edges of the film first, is also given a vibratory movement transverse to the film by an eccentric 41 on shaft 40, driven from the motor 10 by gears 36, 37, 39. Gear 37 also drives rollers 66, 68, 70, 72, 74 continuously, by mechanism not shown, and the severed film is conveyed by rollers 66, 68 into the curved film gate 6 where it is arrested by a stop lever 88, which is fixed to a shaft 99. The film is clamped in the gate by pressure plate 83 which is operated by levers 84, 85 when the shaft 20 is raised by the action of the cam 22 against roller 21 on lever 18. After exposure, the stop device 88 is released by the rotation of shaft 99, the pressure plate 83 is released by the lowering of rod 20, and the film is conveyed by rollers 70, 72, 74 to the pressure plate 92.
