784,875. Table games; skittles. WEBSTER, S. March 19, 1956 [March 28, 1955], No. 8933/55. Class 132(2) Skittles for a table game are, when set up for play, all substantially uniform in appearance, but at least three skittles of a set of nine are so constructed that they are less likely to, or do not fall over when struck by the balls used in the game. The board 1 on which the game is preferably played has short side cushions 3 and is surrounded at one end by a net 2. The skittles may be placed on spots marked on the table, in which case the biased skittles are made of weighty material; or the table may have a series of holes for the reception of pegs attached to the bases of only the biased skittles, the ordinary skittles being placed over the remaining holes. Alternatively the fixed skittles may be held in position by magnets. Preferably the balls are projected at the skittles by a spring gun which may either have a peg in the base fitting into holes' in the table, or a capped peg sliding in a T-section slot extending across the table.
