Class 68(1) Two loop frames 21, 22 of a mineralmining machine are so mounted on the body thereof that, at the conclusion of a cutting operation, the frames can be moved up and down to bring the under and over-cutting stretches of the cutter-carrying, endless chains circulating about the frames clear of the floor and the roof, and then can be swung from a position extending sideways of said body to a position in line therewith to facilitate flitting of the machine back through the workings. The frames are mounted to swing about separate axes and are associated with co-axial sprocket wheels 33, 34 that drive the chains 39. The frames 21, 22 are supported by and rotate about the axes of rams 51, 52 and the supports of the sprocket wheels 33, 34 are rotatably mounted on the cylinders of said rams. When the sprocket wheels 33, 34 are not held in alignment with the output shaft 65 of the body by a pin 69 they can thus be swung into alignment with the body. A transverse loader is detachably secured to the rear of the frame 22.
