Class 52(5) A clothes airer comprises two pairs of side members 4, spaced apart by horizontal clothes-supporting rails 5 and pivotally connected at 6, heaters 7 being pivoted to the members 4 at 8 and to each other at 9. The heaters, consisting of rectangular frames enclosing electrical heating elements between upper and lower perforated panels, stabilize the framework in its opened out position and lie vertically between the frame members when the framework is folded for use as a towel rail. Openings may be provided in the sides and ends of cell frames to promote heated air circulation and a cloth dust cover may be provided which also retards the outflow of heated air.
