A device for turning plough bodies of reversible ploughs

A device for turning a reversible plough comprises an arm 10 mounted on a tube 4 which is rotatable inside a fixed head 2 of the plough and carries right and left hand plough bodies. The head 2 is mounted in a tractor three point linkage and as the head 2 and plough are raised the arm 10 tensions one of a pair of leaf springs 11 mounted on the tractor. The tube 4 is provided with adjustable notches 16, 16SP1/SP which are engaged by a spring urged bolt 17 which is withdrawn by a cam adjustable chain 24 connected to the tractor. The bolt is withdrawn as the plough is raised and one of the springs 11 is tensioned by the arm 10. Withdrawal of the bolt causes the spring 11 to rotate the arm 10 and turn the tube 4. A system of belt crank levers 21, 23 allows the bolt 17 to return to its original position so that it may engage the corresponding notch to hold the plough bodies in the working position.
