A device for turning the plough bodies of reversible ploughs

A reversible plough comprises a crank arm 11 rigidly mounted on a rotatable shaft 3 carrying plough bodies and pivotally connected to a control lever 13 connected by a chain 23 to a fixed point on the tractor, a pin 14 on the lever 13 being slidalby mounted in a slot 15 in a guide member 10 which is rotatable on the shaft 3 and is held in the position shown by a spring 21. The rear portion of the pin 14 engages a trigger lever 20 which is connected by a link 19 with a lock which locks the shaft in both its working positions. The plough is attached to the hydraulic lifting device of the tractor. To rotate the plough bodies the linkage is raised tightening the chain 23 and causing the lever 13 to rock downwards about the pin 12 depressing the lever 20 and releasing the shaft for rotation. When the pin 14 contacts the bottom of slot 15 the arm 11 is rotated clockwise together with the lever 13 and guide 10 until the opposite plough body is in position when the shaft is locked in position. As the plough is lowered the arm 11 remains in its new position and the guide returns to the position shown. The shaft 3 is rotated through about 80 degrees and when 180 degrees rotation is required a gear wheel is mounted in the shaft 3 and meshes with a toothed segment 26 provided on a sleeve which carries the arm 11 and member 10.
