A root-crop harvester comprises a bifurcated arched draw-frame 2 terminating at its rear end in an axle 3 for a pair of land-wheels 4, the limbs of the draw-frame carrying side-walls 9 of an endless conveyer 21, the driving shaft 19 of which extends between the rear portions of the walls ; the draw-frame 2 supports, in a height-adjustable manner, a frame 11 carrying the share 12. The conveyer 21 is driven from a tractor (not shown), through a drive-shaft 23 and the shaft 19, a further transverse apron 28 being similarly driven. The frame 11 is carried on parallel links 15, 16, and is adjusted in height by the bodily movement of a handle 31 about a pivot 30, the frame being suspended from an elbow-linkage 36, 37 through a chain 39. Fine adjustment is provided by straightening the elbow-linkage through the rotation of the handle 31 in a nut on the pivot 30.
