974,246. Keyboard switches. BUSCH-JAEGER DURENER METALLWERKE A.G. March 13, 1961 [March 18, 1960], No. 9102/61. Heading H2B. An element 10 for interlocking two push-button switches comprises two bifurcated members 10a, 10b connected by a cross-piece 10c extending between adjacent buttons, e.g. 7, 8 or 8, 9. Each member 10a 10b has a tongue 10k, 10l engageable in the gaps 10d, 10e of the bifurcations of an adjacent member. Cheeks 10q, 10r have inclined faces 10s, 10t, 10u and 10v which co-operate with cams 4a, 5a, 6a on the buttons 7, 8, 9 so that depression of a button, e.g. 7, causes the cam 4a to bear on surfaces 10s, 10u to push the member(s) 10 to the right to prevent operation of any other button at the same time. If another button is subsequently pressed, the member(s) 10 slide and push button 7 out again. In an assembly of five switches, Fig. 3 (not shown), the cheeks 10q, 10r are omitted from one member 10 so that two adjacent buttons are not interlocked with each other.
