A therapeutically active extract of the dandelion (Taraxacum Dens Leonis) is prepared by forming a powder of the roots and/or leaves, infusing the powder in water, separating the infusion and atomizing it at a temperature below 70 DEG C. to give a powder which may be put up into pharmaceutical forms, e.g. tablets, capsules, powders, and cachets which may also comprise antacids, e.g. aluminium hydroxide and bismuth subnitrate.
