In a potato-harvester employing a pair of spinners 3 rotating on upwardly, forwardly and inwardly inclined axes, no share is provided and the potatoes are excavated by the spinners which have tines 4 arranged conically. The spinner-spacing is equal to that of the croprows and the crop is fed to an endless slatted apron 8. The spinner tines intermesh and tined rollers 9 remove haulms from them during rotation. A plate 10 prevents the roots from falling back after excavation.
