Method for destroying undesired plant life

A method of destroying undesired plant life in an area of land comprises applying methyl N-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-carbamate to the area to be protected either alone or in the form of a composition containing an inert adjuvant such as a dust, a wettable powder, granules, solution, an aerosol or an emulsion. Pre- or post-emergence application is specified. The composition may contain anionic and nonionic surface active agents, insecticides, fungicides, nematocides, plant growth regulants and fertilizers.
