Class 52(4) Straight or sinuous wire springs for a seat cushion are connected at one or both ends to the supporting frame by rubber or like blocks capable of deflection under load. As shown the rear end of a sinuous wire spring 101 is fitted in a transverse hole in a rubber block 126 secured by integral lugs to a seat rail 58, and the lower limb of a V-shaped front support lies in a slot 116 in the top of a front block 114 and is bent to pass rearwardly through a hole in the block which is clipped to a front rail 111.
