摘要
A nitrogen-containing hydrocarbon distillate feed stock boiling over a range of 50 DEG F. and having a 5% boiling point above 475 DEG F. is treated to yield a fuel boiling above the gasoline range by hydrofining to reduce the nitrogen content below 10 p.p.m., contacting with at least 1500 S.C.F.B. of hydrogen in a hydrocracking zone at 350-700 DEG F. with a hydrogen partial pressure of at least 350 p.s.i.a., a catalyst of a nickel or cobalt compound on a solid, active, acidic support, a L.H.S.V. of above 0.2 v./v./hr. and with a net hydrogen consumption to obtain a 30 volume per cent per-pass conversion to products boiling below the initial boiling point of the distillate, and recovering from the effluent from the hydrocracking zone a fraction having an end point below 525 DEG F and boiling between 360 DEG F. and the 5% point of the feed, said fraction having an initial freezing point below -40 DEG F. and being free from normal paraffins. The catalyst support may be silica/alumina, silica / magnesia, silica / alumina / zirconia, acid treated clays and zeolites.
