1,111,607. Moulding building elements. BASSANI S.p.A. 25 Jan., 1966 [25 Jan., 1965; 12 April, 1965; 4 Jan., 1966], No. 3373/66. Heading B5A. [Also in Divisions E1 and H2] Prefabricated concrete walls and ceilings containing electrical conduits are cast by a method comprising laying a concrete-reinforcing iron wire or rod grid 16 in a wood, concrete or metal mould and then placing a junction box 17 with polypropylene conduiting 18 at anchorages in the mould, the latter being secured to the grid by metal clasps (20) before pouring in molten concrete. When set, the prefabricated wall is removed from the mould. Entry of the liquid concrete into the box 17 or conduit exits 19 and movement of these electrical fitments during pouring is obviated by a rubber seal (37) frictionally held inside each box or exit and held against the metal mould wall by a permanent magnet (42). Alternatively a wooden or concrete mould may have a metal insert (49) on which the magnet seats or the seal may be held in place by a nail or screw passing into a wooden mould wall, see Figs. 6-12 (not shown). A tool for removing the seal is described with reference to Figs. 19-21 (not shown).
