Compositions of salts of sodium bisulphite stabilised menadione

Menadione bisulphite salts are stabilized by mixing them with monocalcium phosphate or with a mixture of mono- and di-calcium phosphates, and then granulating the compositions. The salt may be menadione sodium bisulphite. For each part by weight of menadione bisulphite salt there is used from 1 to 2 parts by weight of monocalcium phosphate, or 9 to 36 parts by weight of monocalcium phosphate and 1 part by weight of dicalcium phosphate. A solution of a binder may be added to the mixture and the mass kneaded, dried and granulated.ALSO:Animal feeds, especially poultry feeds, contain granules of menadione bisulphite salt, e.g. menadione sodium bisulphite, stabilized with monocalcium phosphate or a mixture of mono- and dicalcium phosphates. Examples are given.
