A fixture for securing a workpiece to a lathe faceplate, or to a milling machine table, comprises a back-plate 1, Fig. 1, an angle-plate 2 having holes 4 therein, and workpiece locating devices 3, which can be secured in the required holes 4. Plate 2 is vertically adjustable on plate 1, and can be set in the required positions D, E, F, by using slip gauges between blocks 15, 17, and plate 2 and devices 3. Each of the latter comprises a bush 7, Fig. 2, having an eccentric bore in which is fitted a trunnion 10 formed with a hexagonal head 11, which in turn has a worklocating pin 12 thereon. Head 11 may have a series of holes into which the pin 12 can be secured. Some of the pins 12 may be replaced by clamping screws. Plate 2 may be angularly adjustable, and back-plate 1 may have holes 22 therein, for securing balance weights thereto. In a modification, plate 2 is reversed as shown in the Figure accompanying the complete Specification, and a single datum block 15 is provided.
