The method forms rigid heavy-duty screwed joints in steel structures, using shear members at the contact faces of the components to be joined together. These have a maximum thickness equal to that of the thinner of the components to be joined, and greater strength. - The members have a minimum height of 100 microns, and are applied to the surfaces to be brought into contact by sheet, plate material, or shims. They are of double-cone or double-pyramid shape, with cylindrical or prismatic portions in between the conical or pyramid portions as desired.PS
