In a floating storage vessel comprising a bow section 11 through which a well 17 extends vertically and a detachable stern section 12, a rotatable turret is mounted in the well and chains are attached to the turret to anchor the bow section to the seabed. Propulsive means is provided in the detachable stern section of the vessel shown and a swivel joint 38 enables fluids to pass upwardly through the turret into storage compartments in the stern section.
