A rapid transition floating vessel capable of following the turbulent motion of a turret mooring floating vessel is provided. The fast transition floating vessel includes a system and process for dynamically positioning the floating vessel next to the turret mooring floating vessel, the floating vessel being maintained at a safe distance and connected to the turret mooring floating vessel. This is achieved by the floating vessel following the turbulent motion of the turret mooring floating vessel when the turret mooring floating vessel weathers around the center of the turret mooring.
