A method and arrangement for scanning of electrical signals and for storing of the sampling values

An analogue signal is sampled by relays operated by a clock signal to generate a 'staircase' digitised version of the signal with a controlled delay. The output from an catalogue signal generator (G1) e.g. a sine wage is transmitted over a first relay (T1) coupled to a capacitor (C1) and isolating amplifier (V1). The output voltage is transmitted to a second stage consisting of a relay (T2) capacitor (C2) and amplifier (V2). The first stage provide accurate sampling with a short hold time constant. The second stage has a long time constant and provides a relatively long hold time. In this way the two stages operate to provide precise amplitude coupled with a long hold period.
