Postal package sorting unit with feed conveyor - has unsorted package return system linked to storage-catch device with automatic controls

A sorting device for postal packets or similar items having a feed conveyor propelling them to a sorting area with a distribution device. System includes a return of unsorted packets to the feed system which is locked in place whilst fresh unsorted packets are fed to the distributor. A catcher storage device of at lest two parallel sequential automatically controlled feed units replaces one of the freshly arriving parcels with a previously unsorted one, when a certain lever of unsorted packets in the storage part has been reached. The catcher/storage is situated between the outlet point for new packets and the feed conveyor.
