Metallising ceramic dielectrics with precio- - us metal and ceramic binder powder mixture

Metallising agent for metal-plating ceramic dielectric supports, used in electronics, pref. non-fired dielectrics, by screen-printing contains mixture of 60-99 (85-97) wt.% precious metal powder and 1-40 (3-15) wt.% inorganic ceramic binder, if necessary dispersed in an inert liquid vehicle. Pref. precious metal powder contains at least 50% Pt or Pd, and/or binder powder consists of Al2O3 and/or MgO; and pref. powder particle size is 1-5mu. Pref. metallising agent is screen-printed on surface which is then heated to 650-1700 degrees C.
