Cpds. of formula (I) (where X is halogen, HOCH2- or Me and R1 is H, lower alkyl benzyl or phenethyl, opt. substd. by 1 or 2 halogen, lower alkyl or alkoxy in phenyl gp) are prepd. by reacting cpds. of formula (II): (where R2 is lower alkyl) with cyanamide.
