Rechargeable Hg/HgO electrode contg. an electroconductive material and a matrix of an alkali-resistant metal capable of dissolving hydrogen, as in DT. 1916959, is used as a measuring electrode, esp. for measurements of pH and electrode potentials in alkaline media. - This durable electrode is easily produced, cleaned and regenerated.
