Sewage surface aerator - without axial thrust thus reducing vibration from waves

A vertical axis surface aerating rotor for liquids, esp. sewage, has its blades and/or other parts in contact with the liquid so arranged that they produce no axial thrust. Specif., the blades may lie in axially parallel planes, with the connecting ring or disc clearly above the surface. The elimination of axial thrust reduces vibration and increases the life of the mechanism.
