Acetylene deriv fungistat and bacteriostat for human pathogens

Fungistatic and bacteriostatic medicaments contain as active ingredient a cpd, Ph-CO-C triple bond C-C =CH-R1 (where R1 and R2 are H or 1-6C alkyl and the Ph may be substd, by 1 or more halogen atoms). They are not skin-irritant and are active against Trichophyton, Microsporum and Candida spp. Also they are of very low toxicity and quite stable.
