Reinforcing glass fibres are distributed by blowing at least one roving of glass fibres with the help of an air stream through a nozzle, and moving the nozzle relative to the surface to be covered with glass fibres. The glass fibres are distributed for the prodn. of preforms without the need for the prodn. and storage of glass fibre mats or fabrics.
