Coding of bipolar analog pick=up values - using two alternately active comparators, each receiving pick=up value at inputs, second comparator input being inverted
Coding of bipolar analog pick=up values - using two alternately active comparators, each receiving pick=up value at inputs, second comparator input being inverted
The pick-up values are of any arbitrary polarity and are processed a feedback coder, using unipolar comparison voltages. Each value (E) is fed to an input (E11) of a first comparator (V1) without change, and in an inverted form to a input (E21) of a second comparator (V2). The unipolar comparison voltages are fed to the second inputs (E12, E22) of both comparators. The comparators are controlled by two inverse signals of a bistable flip-flop (K), via their third inputs (E13, E23) into effective or blocking state respectively. The flip-flop state, prior to coding, is controlled in dependence on a clock pulse signal and an output signal of one comparator. The effective comparator transmits a signal ony when the pick-up value has the same polarity, and greater value, than the comparison voltage. Both comparator output signals are transmitted via a common output.
