The electro-acoustic musical instrument has a high tonal quality, e.g. an electronic organ or piano. The various tones are recorded onto a film disc or magnetic recording disc. Each tone is recorded in its various versions representing different intensities etc. and is fully retrievable. - The various tones and intensities are recorded on separate tracks and bridging between required tracks is used to produce through mixing the desired output note from the loudspeaker. Optical photocell or magnetic head tracking is used for information retrieval and the required piano, fortissimo, mezzoforte or other sound is then amplified before being output through the loudspeaker equipment.
