PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound controller capable of preventing a sound that a player does not intend from being generated owing to effects generated according to lip positions.SOLUTION: A musical sound controller according to the present invention has a processing part which executes: a position determining process of determining, based upon sensor information from a lip detection sensor detecting a contact state of the lips on the reed, contact positions of lips on a reed; a musical sound control process of controlling a musical sound generated by a sound source part according to the contact positions determined through the position determining process; a detection process of detecting, based upon the sensor information, the lips starting leaving the reed; and a process of setting, based upon the sensor information, contact positions at first timing as actual contact positions of the lips from the first timing to second timing when the lips finish leaving the reed when it is determined that the lips leave the reed in a first form.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
