Title pigment of formula: (where one X is H, Cl or Br and the other H, M is 1 equiv. of Na+, NH4+, K+, Ca2+, Ni2+ or Mn2+ or their mixts.) is used in printing inks for book and offset printing, in paints for outside used and in colouring melamine or polyester lacquers, PVC, polystyrene and polyethylene. Pigment is migration and resistant and prepd. as large crystals by treating coupling product of diazotised 1-amino-2, 3-disubstd. anthraquinone and 2-hydroxy naphthalene 6-sulphonic acid with org. solvent and/or water at 100-160 degrees C.
