Styrene polymer laminate - consisting of layer of thermally resistant styrene polymer and at least one further layer of different styrene

Laminate consists of at least two bonded layers, the first layer contg. at least 30% wt. of a styrene polymer (I) with a good thermal stability, and the second layer contg. a styrene polymer other than polymer (I). Specif. the styrene polymer (I) consists of a copolymer of 95-50% wt. styrene and 5-50% wt. maleic anhydride, fumaric anhydride or itaconic anhydride, of 90-20% wt. styrene and 10-80% wt, alpha-methylstyrene, of 90-50% wt. styrene and 10-90% wt. methyl methacrylate of 90-50% wt. alpha-methylstyrene and 10-50% wt. acrylonitrile, or a terpolymer of styrene/alpha-methylstyrene/acrylonitrile, or styrene/methyl methacrylate/alpha-methylstyrene, or styrene/acrylonitrile/maleic anhydride, or styrene/methyl methacrylate/maleic anhydride. The laminates have a combination of lhigh thermal stability, and high rigidity, resistance to impacts, resistance to scratching and/or resistance to solvents, which cannot be obtained with the individual styrene polymers.
