1377852 Benzothiohydroximic acid derivatives COLGATE-PALMOLIVE CO 17 Jan 1972 [18 Jan 1971] 2217/72 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises novel antiperspirant compounds (I) (including salts thereof) wherein R is unsubstituted or substituted normal alkyl of 6 to 9 carbon atoms, C 1 to C 7 hydroxyalkyl, C 1 to C 7 aminoalkyl, C 1 to C 7 aminoalkyl hydrohalide or oxopyridyl, and A, B, D, E and G consist of hydrogen, C 1 to C 7 alkyl, C 1 to C 7 alkoxy, C 1 to C 7 aliphatic carboxylic, C 1 to C 7 hydroxyalkyl, C 1 to C 7 aminoalkyl, halogen, nitro, hydroxy, amino, and carboxyl, at least two of A, B, D, E and G being hydrogen. They are made by alkylating appropriate benzothiohydroximic acid metal salts or by treating hydroximoyl chlorides with RSH.
