Screen printing patterns in relief - on china and glass using several successive layers

Method of making a decalcomania in relief, of vitrifiable enamel separated by demarkation lines of dull gold in which a brilliant liquid gold based on gold resinate with 12% Au, is screen printed through a non-woven fine mesh screen and dried, and the brilliance is toned down by a screen printing thereon a varnish more brittle than normally used. The pattern is then applied by screen printing with a slack woven screen, regions wit gradually reducing area and increasing thickness of successive layers of which vitrifiable enamel followed by thin layers of the colours for the pattern in separated screen printing operations.
