Palatable dry products for feeding babies and children suffering from phenylketonuria are prepd. from aq. solns. of phenylalanine-deficient protein hydrolysates by homogeneously mixing a protein hydrolysate soln. contg. 3-30 (5-20) esp. 8-12 wt.% solids with a 1:1 mixt. (by wt.) of starch and swellable starch, using 10-15 wt. pts. starch mixt./100 wt.pts. soln., and roller-drying the homogeneous compsn. obtd.
