The roll over frame of the tractor cab is fitted with an external frame over which the flexible roof covering is stretched. The stretching frame has side sections directed downwards along the side of the cab and has a U-shaped rail attached along each edge. The two fingers of the U are covered with elastic padding and serve to guide the upper edge of the side window. The rigid side window is securely held without requiring any close tolerances in either the frame or window pane. The cab vibrations are effectively absorbed by the padding while the fitting clamps for the roof covering are not affected.
