1429791 Workpiece locating device G W WYNN 12 March 1973 [13 March 1972] 11605/72 Addition to 1358251 Heading B5L A workpiece location device adapted for releasable attachment to a saw guide apparatus having a base B and an upstanding saw guide member or members S comprises a member havinga planar body portion 2 for location of a workpiece face and means, e.g. lugs 8, 6 projecting rearwardly from the portion 2 for engagement with the base B, means for fixing the member to the apparatus at a selected angular location with the portion 2 extending below the surface of the base B, and means, e.g. a member 36 for location of a side face of a workpiece at an adjustable distance from the saw guide plane defined by the member(s) S and either parallel or at an angle to said plane. As described the portion 2 joins a lip 4 and is attachable to the base B and member 5 by clamps 16, 26. The surface of the portion 2, which may have a non-slip coating engages the side face of the workpiece and the lip 4 engages its end. Lugs 6 engage the edge F of base B for longitudinal cutting of the workpiece. A wedge may be inserted between the portion 2 and the edge F or between the surface of the base B and lugs 8 to locate the portion 2 and hence the workpiece at an inclination to the saw guide plane for use when dovetailing. An adjustable head H on an adjustable bar G may be used for transverse location of the workpiece.
