摘要
The reactions and conditions used are: (1) Fe2O2 + SO2 right arrow FeO +FeSO4 at 200-400 degrees C; (2) FeO + FES4 + 1/3 H2O right arrow 1/3 Fe3O4 + FeSO4 + 1/3 H2 at 30-800 degrees C; and (3) 1/3 Fe3O4 + FeSO4 right arrow Fe2O3 + 1/6 O2 + SO2 a 600-1100 degrees C, the SO2 being recycled. Fe2O3 is esp. suitable for this process and is incorporated in a porous ceramic, e.g. Al2O3 etc., which also acts as heat store. Reaction is carried out at 20-60 at. and using superheated steam, CO2 or another inert gas as heat transfer medium. The reactions, are carried out in several stages, using regenerative control, so that heat transfer fromone reaction zone to another by a heat transfer medium is possible.
