Powdered/granulated aluminium sulphate - by atomising soln in hot/cold burnt gas/air flow

Powdered Al sulphate mfr. which may be subsequently granulated, by atomising hot Al sulphate soln. in a drying tower. The atomised prod. is concd. and cooled by evapn. of water and also by treating at 200-400 degrees C in hot air/burnt gas current to form solid particles. The al sulphate soln. is obtd. from hydrated alumina or Al scrap and sulphuric acid. Further crushing and grinding is unnecessary and more dilute solns. of Al sulphate can be used.
