Corrosion protection of copper-aluminium alloys - using peelable film contg. pref. chelating agent

Temporary corrosion protection of Cu-Al alloys is obtd. by a peelable film contg. a corrosion inhibitor for Cu, pref. a benzotriazol chelatant (or its deriv.), which is in soln. in the film. In an example, the compsn. comprises 25 pts. of 90/10 vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, 7 pts. dibutyl phthalate, 1 pt. expoxidised soya bean oil, 0.5 pts. benzotriazole, 45 pts. MEK, 10 pts. cyclohexanone and 20 pts. toluene.
