Indicator strips for urine albumin - in which the buffer is sepd. from the indicator

Strips of absorbant matl. are immersed in a buffer soln. of a weak acid and a salt of the acid with a strong base and dried. They are then immersed in a matl. which dries to leave a semi-permeable membrane, and finally immersed in an indicator such as bromophenol blue. These strips are easy to use, are not affected by the pH of the urine and give less false results than conventional indicator strips.
