Dual circuit brake circuit braking valve - uses spring loaded pistons responsive to reservoir and brake pressures

Consists of a distributor piston to which fluid under pressure is admitted by the brake pipe and a safety piston to which fluid is admitted from the reservoir under control of a distributor valve. It has inbuilt safety features to avoid malfunctioning and only requires reservoir pressure supplied to the distributor piston during safety braking. It can also be applied to a single pipe brake system, or with systems using spring operated safety braking. The safety brake piston spring is designed to match safety brake pressure.
