The electric selector switch is for use in storage control systems and consists of a number of selector contact bins. There is a pressure sealed switch housing filled with a light oil and having rows or columns of contact pins each operated by a spindle. Each spindle is actuated by a push-button on the front of the housing. When pushed in, a pressure is built up in the oil chamber, forcing any engaged switch element back to the off position. The housing may have a stopper for replenishment of the oil. There is also an oil safety valve connected to the oil chamber. The end of the spindle is preferabl shaped to act as a bridge between the two fixed contact pins.
